Hi, I'm Juan 👋

I'm a sysadmin and DevOps engineer from Argentina 🇦🇷. I keep Linux servers, networks and pipelines running, and I enjoy the parts most people avoid: bare metal, TLS, backups, logs and the alert at 3 a.m. Blue-team security is the lens I look at everything through.

I've done that for an ISP, a dev agency and a radio & TV station.

What I'm working on

  • 🔎 Elastic Stack consulting. A repeatable deployment kit (Terraform + Ansible: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fleet, TLS everywhere) and a read-only auditor that checks 65 rules on health, security, ILM, backups, Fleet and cost, then writes a client-ready report. Elasticsearch 7.17 through 9.x.
  • 📻 MuteBreaker. A 1U rack appliance that listens to an FM station with a real tuner (ESP32 + RDA5807M), detects dead air and carrier loss, and pings the team's phones in under three minutes. Browser-configured, with an optional Grafana / VictoriaMetrics / Loki backend. Moving from the bench to the first station.
  • 🧪 On the bench. Meshtastic nodes on Heltec LoRa32 boards, a de-Googled home server, and a Pi Zero 2 W for Wi-Fi auditing.

Projects worth a look

Project What it is Built with
🎙️ transcriba Live captions and translation for conferences: dozens of rooms in parallel, attendees read on their phones, rooms get a screen view or an OBS overlay. Runs on Gemini's Live API or fully local with Whisper + Gemma. Apache-2.0, with a runbook written for volunteers. Python · FastAPI · WebSockets · Ollama
🛡️ k3s-security-lab Multi-node k3s on KVM with Kyverno admission policies, Falco runtime detection over eBPF, and alerts shipped to Elasticsearch / Kibana. The journal documents every failure with root cause and evidence, including my own mistakes. k3s · Kyverno · Falco · Elastic · cloud-init
📻 MuteBreaker private, ask me FM air and stream monitor for radio stations: firmware, hardware, backend, portal and docs. ESP32 · C++ · Python · Grafana
🧭 rampa private, ask me Multi-cloud internal developer platform: control plane, agent, web UI and CLI. Go · TypeScript

V-Twin engines, FM radio, and terminals that look like 1985. If you ever wanted to watch YouTube as ASCII art in your terminal, here's how.
