    Enforce socket timeout on connect

Earlier changes to the memcache client changed the timeout mechanism
from using the (somewhat unreliable) Timeout or SystemTimer libraries to
using low-level non-blocking I/O. This works great - assuming the client
    connects in the first place.

This change re-introduces the timeout mechanism and wraps the socket
creation - if you try to connect to a memcache server that's
down/rebooting/whatever, it will timeout sooner than the OS-specified
    timeout for the socket.

move calls to Marshal.dump outside with_server(). this fixes an issue…

… where, when running with multiple servers, and one of those servers fails, data being put into memcache gets marshaled twice.

Make size check of value a default option rather than a requirement

Although this is a reasonable setting for use of the client with the standard memcached server, Tokyo Tyrant also is able to use the memcached protocol but doesn't have the 1MB size limit. This commit makes the size check on data optional for alternate and valid uses of the memcache-client library in connecting to different key-value stores. Tests included both for the new optional setting and for the previously-untested size check.
