I grabbed some of the testing infrastructure that you had here for the juju/mutex implementation. Great help. I'm trying to exorcise all references to fslock in juju. Can we delete this repo?

Sourcegraph doesn't have any external references to the package so I don't think it's used by anything open source. Leaving it around is a little confusing.

The first step should be to update the README to tell readers to use instead package github.com/juju/mutex.

I'm using this repo for secrets and saw this issue here. I looked into mutex, but didn't see any examples in the README nor in tests of how to simply use the same functionality by that library (e.g. to create locks for files).

Maybe start with that.
