It's because macos-latest now runs on apple silicon runners, and there's no apple silicon build for 1.6.

We should either error with a clearer message or serve the x86 build with a warning.

Yeah, we should print a better error message here.

Actually, @fonsp I notice that you're currently using setup-julia@v1. Can you upgrade to setup-julia@v2? I want to see if the current error message on v2 is any better.

Also, GitHub has dropped support for the NodeJS 16 runtime that setup-julia@v1 uses, so you won't be able to use v1 any more.
