Environment selected via command palette vs environment activated in REPL

Changing the environment via the Command Palette does not affect the environment in the integrated REPL, and vice versa. What is the relationship between these two environments? Should they be the same?

The one you select in VS Code (either via the command pallet or the status bar) is the one that is used as the startup environment for the REPL, but after that they are no no longer synced.

I agree, it would be nice if they just stayed in sync, but I'm not sure whether we have the necessary APIs on the Julia side for that. Worth investigating, though.

We can change the REPL env, yes.

Do we also get a notification when the user changes the env in the REPL, so that we can send a notification to the extension?
