This is collection of Chef bootstrap templates for nonstandard OSes, or for folks that want to do different things than the out-of-the-box templates do.
Bootstrap a node with the --bootstrap-template
flag, e.g.
$ knife bootstrap 1.2.3.4 --bootstrap-template /path/to/your/template-name.erb
It's common to put bootstrap templates in your ~/.chef/bootstrap
directory, but not required.
Note that the old flags --distro
and --template-file
are deprecated.
