# Troubleshooting

## AI up, intelligence down

Symptoms:

- `zdots-ctl status` shows AI server up
- intelligence/Postgres down
- `capabilities --json` may still show `health_errors: 0`

Meaning: local inference is available, but the knowledge layer is not connected.
