Explicitly specify a list of hosts for proxy

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to specify a number of hosts for proxy and ignore others? Couldn't seem to find it anywhere.

The only thing I could think of is look up the ip of each host and then foreach/add them as endpoints?

You can't do it. This is because client may use a single TCP proxy connection for multiple consecutive HTTP requests to different host names, so by design its not possible. By default only request/response headers are parsed and body is relayed, so there is not going to be any notable performance difference by excluding host names. If you are just looking to ignore the undesired host names, in the request/response handler check for the host names and ignore reading the body as desired.

For HTTPS connections you could also use ExcludedHttpsHostNameRegex property of explicit endpont. Assign a regex that will never match the desired hostnames, but will always match any undesired hostnames. This is possible because a single TCP proxy connection from client is always attached to a single host when we fake proxy tunnel request. At least that's what the design assumption is.

Ahh, thanks for some reason I wasn't seeing the host name property yesterday after restarting visual studio I'm seeing it this morning :-)
