@titanium-cranium you need to grant all possible access to Licecap. |

Thanks all. That did it. |
Man, I love liceCAP! I've been using it to record software updates as animated gifs and it's amazing. Recently (since Big Sur) it is periodically recording the black screen. I found that I can usually record on my laptop main screen but my secondary screen, connected via hdmi, results in a black screen. Often, once that starts, it records black screen from primary screen as well. If I unplug my external screen, launch liceCAP and then plug my second monitor back in, it seems to work on the laptop screen. So that's a temp workaround but I lost a dozen recordings I was preparing for a blog post yesterday. Is there anything else I can do to fix it on my system? |

I've been a loyal user of licecap for many years and I love it! Sadly on my new M1 MBP, despite giving it both Any idea of what could be happening? Thanks so much in advance, please keep up such well made OSS tools. |
I am on Big Sur 11.6.3 and gave |
The app works perfectly fine for me on Mac OS Monterey 12.2 on a M1 macbook pro for me. Records everything including mouse cursor. |
The app does not work for me on a M1 Macbook Pro with Mac OS Monterey 12.3. Recording turn out as black. Granted Full Disk Access and Screen Recording permissions. The workaround posted in #91 (comment) worked to resolve it. |
Licecap 1.32 is working nicely for me on Intel Monterey 12.3.1. Thanks a lot for this super handy tool! ❤️ |
Same for me, MacBook Pro M2 max |
Thanks for doing the update to make it compatible with Big Sur. I've found that while it now seems functional, licecap seems to ignore any and all layers above the background desktop image. Any thoughts on why this might be? I couldn't find any config to mess around with.
