Wiki pages are still getting buried- difficult to find- need to figure out a better way to list what content there is with pages- "table of contents" a site map just of pages? Categorized by subject?

I think this obscurity has been partially intentional, because a lot of people initially coming to the site ask "should I post a wiki page or a research note? What's the difference?" and the answer is that if you aren't sure, just post a research note.

Personally i see wiki authoring as being targeted at slightly more advanced users. But writing and reading are two separate things. The wiki should surely be more visible to readers, even if writers are sheparded towards research notes.

Ideas:

  • Related wiki pages in the sidebar of (or in a tab of) each tool/place, based on tagging? Maybe ranked by page traffic?
  • maybe another tab in or next to "Research notes" that says "Wiki pages" and sorts by tool tags?
