The following lists ideas that can be incorporated into the game. Any games preceding a hyphen were an inspiration for that idea.

MVG (minimum viable game)

Player-controlled "hero" moves through a maze-like environment to reach the exit tile while avoiding enemies that move about the maze.

Fundamentals

Maze Craze, Pac-Man - enemies in a maze
Super Meat Boy - fast restart and fast pace
Sly Cooper - hide from enemies under tables or around a short corner, menu sound effects
Metal Gear - stealth by moving around objects
N Game - enemies that move faster when they see you

Potential new elements

Maze elements: doors or conveyors that function as both a way for you to progress or block enemies, keys and locks, teleports, weapons, bombs that break down walls, spotlights, swords that keep enemies at bay in one direction, tunnels
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - visual power-ups
Overcooked - control multiple heroes with one controller or make co-op
Control multiple heroes is an upgrade; death results in backtracking to rescue
Breath of the Wild - open world with exit available from start
Baldur's Gate - hub with linear (or not) paths from it to different levels

Levels

Monaco - line of sight to enemies otherwise invisible
Super Hot - enemies freeze when not moving
Sliding maze
Vertical maze with jumping
