Upholstery Collective

The Upholstery Collective is a one page website for upholsterer Felicity Wiltshire who also happens to be my mother...

About

AWS Lambda

To avoid hosting and as an excuse to play with serverless technology, the website is hosted on S3 with AWS Lambda acting as the back end.

The site uses AWS Lambda functions written in Python to provide numerous endpoints for the front end.

  • Fetch for sale products using Etsy API
  • Return product images from S3 Bucket

Front End

For development, the front end code sits within the app directory. For production, this is compiled using gulp and webpack into the dist folder which is then uploaded to S3 where the website is hosted. All Javascript is minified, uglified and compressed.
