hee-bird-habitat

An analysis of the effect of local-scale habitat features (canopy height, elevation, vegetation, etc.) on breeding bird abundance at the Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment.

The results are published in the following article:

Kellner, Kenneth F.; Ruhl, Patrick J.; Dunning, John B.; Barnes, Kevin W.; Saunders, Michael R.; and Swihart, Robert K. 2018. Local-scale habitat components driving bird abundance in eastern deciduous forests. American Midland Naturalist.

Metadata

The analysis_habitatuse.R file contains the framework of the Bayesian analysis in JAGS for effects of habitat on bird abundance.

The function_[ ].R files contain functions to parse the input and output data (functionality described in detail at the beginning of each file).

The script_[ ].R files contain code to process raw covariate and GIS data into the form used in the final analysis.

The model_habitatuse_BBN.R file contains the model description (in the BUGS language) for the analysis.

The figs-tables folder contains code generating the figure, table, and appendix in the final manuscript.

You can’t perform that action at this time.
