There's no need to allocate a 4 KiB buffer all the time in this frequently-hit error path; instead, memory to store a file path can be allocated only when really necessary, when the lookup is successful. Signed-off-by: Sultan Alsawaf <firstname.lastname@example.org>
This reverts commit a959dd8. This can actually be replaced by a concise dynamic memory allocation, and it may be causing stack overflows anyway. Remove it.
