Dry-run invoice generation on the parent doesn't generate expected invoices. Examples below are for usage-based plans, but the behavior is similar for recurring plans.

Discussion: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/killbilling-users/R01A60iq6z8/JNy1aV7UAQAJ

Setup

  • Account P: parent
  • Account C: child (isPaymentDelegatedToParent=true)
  • One subscription: consumable-in-arrear (from UsageExperimental.xml)

Scenario A: no usage recorded

  • Dry-run invoice on C generates a $0 USAGE item
  • Dry-run invoice on P generates a NULL invoice

Scenario B: usage recorded

  • Dry-run invoice on C generates the correct USAGE item
  • Dry-run invoice on P generates a NULL invoice

Move the clock by 1 month:

  • C has one invoice with the correct USAGE item
  • P has the associated summary invoice (in DRAFT mode)
