I want to change the destination where yaws' library files are installed to. (I need them in /usr/lib64/yaws instead of /usr/lib/yaws), but the --libdir option of the configure script is just silently ignored in the Makefiles.

Please give the commit referenced in the previous comment a try and let me know if it works for you.

Thanks, now all files are properly installed to my custom libdir. (It's exactly the same fix as the one I tried myself, I only forgot this exec_prefix line.) But one thing is strange: The dir $PREFIX/lib/ is still created, even if I install to lib64/, but it contains only empty directorys: lib/yaws/examples/{ebin,include}
