Remove ?SLEEP_TIMEOUT and replace with option to pass on consumer start #4

In inspiration of zmstone@6545022, I'd like to remove the ?SLEEP_TIMEOUT macro that is in use and replace it with an option that can be passed on consumer start.

I will prepare a pull request in the coming days.
