Moving from iTerm2

Just trying to move over to Kitty and trying to mirror my setup.

In iTerm2 when I open the app I have a default window around 60c 20c in size, with font size of 12 and minimal titlebar (just the open/close button showing with background matching colour elsewhere for a seamless look). This always launches in the top left of my screen and I use this for basic terminal commands.

I then have a hotkey that launches nvim in full a fullscreen window with font size of 14 and adjusted line padding of 10.

What would be the easiest way to mirror this in Kitty?

Read the documentation and configure what you need. The macOS-related configuration options are under "OS specific tweaks".

This is currently not possible and requires other software or writing your own script to move the window.

In order to start full-screen neovim and change the font size, in addition to combining multiple actions using combine like below, you can also write custom kitten or use remote control for precise control.

map f1 combine : launch --type=os-window nvim : toggle_fullscreen : change_font_size current 14.0

Note that the font size is applied to the entire OS window, including tabs and windows.

There is no spacing between each cell in kitty. You can try to modify the cell height.
However, the cell height cannot be changed on the fly, you need to run another kitty instance.

Maybe line spacing can be set individually for OS windows in the future, just like font size.

I also have the following in my kitty.conf.

This has been addressed in a recent PR. Thanks for your detailed report.
When the next nightly is released, you can install the latest nightly and try "~/.local/bin/lvim" to see if it works.

I also have the following ...

"~/.local/bin" is already there and does not need to be added again.
If editor lvim is still not working, you should probably try to configure an absolute path for now.

... but I tried adding toggle_fullscreen in a few variations ...

Quick last question.... I have a mapping to open LunarVim (below), but for some reason it's not changing the cwd to that of the buffer. Can I add :cd %:p:h:gs,\,/,:gs, ,\ , in order to run the change in cwd as soon as it opens?

No need to answer, I've just added the :cd inside my mapping within my LunarVim keybindings and that's fixed it.
