"Too many fallback fonts"

Kitty.conf: no config needed to reproduce

Using the unicode input method, under the F2 method (search by name), entering the word "component" results in all symbols being replaced by a dash.

The output from kitty --debug-fallback-fonts shows a "too many fallback fonts" error.
