Allow --single-instance panels

I am using the kitty panel kitten + fzf for switching windows and the ~.25 second startup time is surprisingly annoying.

Describe the solution you'd like
Having the ability to launch panels with --single-instance would make kitty panels more usable for use cases like mine.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have considered opening kitty in a scratchpad instead of using a panel but it causes focused fullscreen applications to become windowed. I have considered using rofi/tofi but they aren't as capable as fzf.

Not something I care to spend time on, panels are meant for long lived
largely non-interactive things. PR welcome.

For your use case I would use --single-instance with a floating window,
easily achieved using --class and an appropriate rule in your window
manager configuration.

kitty --single-instance --class float-or-whatever

Fair enough, after looking at how --single-instance is implemented I have realized that this isn't an argument parsing limitation like I originally thought so I not sure a PR is worth the added complexity for a feature a handful of people would use.
On a side note, Thank you for making the panel kitten work on wayland and fixing the extremely obscure issues I have opened regarding it. It is one of my favorite features in any piece of software I use. It allowed me to implement a status bar with actual MPRIS support without having to worry about any of the rendering/wayland stuff I don't care about.

With that commit you can use remote control rather than single instance for your use case.

Thank you very much! My window switcher now opens basically instantly. Also, the "quake" terminal is fantastic.
