I am on arch and I believe I have an up to date kitty (0.41.1) The following feels like an unintended feature - but apologies if not.
I was working to spawn a new kitty and specify the working directory using a command like this:
kitty -d="/data/folder1/folder2/folder3/tailwindv3" --detach

but it did nothing except show the version number of Kitty. When trying higher level folders it worked fine, eg /data/folder1/folder2/folder3
it turns out it doesnt like something in the /**v3 as even this simpler example gave the same response

Note: just to show how it normally works (when it does work) - i.e. it happily spawns a new terminal in the right folder

here there is no output - but a bright new terminal has appeared..
