On version 0.43.0, I noticed that when using the yazi terminal file manager, the cursor suddenly began showing up at the bottom of the text of the last pane (right side), and as you switch the highlighted item, it moves around, showing its trail. On version 0.42.0, the cursor would immediately trail off the edge of the screen and hide upon entering yazi and would return when closing.
I noticed this while using kitty 0.43.0 on Linux 6.16.8 running on Wayland.
My cursor settings:
cursor_shape underline
cursor_underline_thickness 1.5
cursor_blink_interval 0.72 ease-in-out
cursor_stop_blinking_after 0
shell_integration no-cursor
cursor_trail 1
cursor_trail_start_threshold 0
