mcfx_convolver configuration files HOWTO
searches for configuration files (.conf) in following folders by default:
* Windows 7,8: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\mcfx\convolver_presets\
* MacOS: ~/Library/mcfx/convolver_presets/
* Linux: ~/mcfx/convolver_presets/
/cd <path>
Specify the path where the .wav files can be found. This path can be relative to the configuration file or absolute.
/impulse/read <input> <output> <gain> <delay> <offset> <length> <channel> <file>
Read one impulse response from a file.
input... specifies the input channel for the filter (starting with 1)
output... specifies the output channel for the filter (starting with 1)
gain... scales the impulse response by this value (NOT in dB!)
delay... adds zeros in front of the impulse response (in samples, before resampling!)
offset... skip samples in the beginning of the impulse response (in samples, before resampling!)
length... define the length of the impulse response (in samples, before resampling!, absolute_length = length+delay !)
channel... specifiy the channel read from the .wav file
file... filename of the .wav file
/impulse/packedmatrix <inchannels> <gain> <delay> <offset> <length> <filename>
packed (dense) matrix in one .wav file as used in X-Volver by Angelo Farina
inchannels... number of input channels for this configuration (from this number the length of the IRs is derived)
gain... linear gain value for all impulse responses
delay... add zero samples in front of each impulse response (in samples, before resampling!)
offset... skip samples in the beginning of each impulse response (in samples, before resampling!)
length... define the length of the impulse response (in samples, before resampling!,
absolute_length = length + delay;
if length argument=0: absolute_length = length_wav_file/inchannels + delay !)
filename... filename of the .wav file
Impulse Response arrangement within the .wav file:
one channel in the .wav file represents one _output_ channel of the convolver matrix
in one channel there are sequentially aligned input IRs
the length of one impulse response is (full length .wav) / #inchannels

wav ch #1: ir_1_1 ir_2_1 ir_3_1 ... ir_m_1
wav ch #2: ir_1_2 ir_2_2 ir_3_2 ... ir_m_2

by defining the number of input channels the plugin can recognize the length of each impulse response
