Geography Recommendation Reports contain three columns and one row for every distinct value of the field in the source file that can be found in a vocabulary lookup file for that field, and is not already a standard value. The first column is the set of names of the geography fields (separated by '|', see below) in which the combination was found. The second column is the combination of the recommended standard values to use in place of the combination given. The third column signifies whether the recommended standard value has been vetted (1) or not (0).

Following is an example of a Field Value Recommendation Report:

Asia|Indonesia||West Java|||||,Asia|Indonesia|ID|Jawa Barat||||Greater Sunda Islands|Java,1
North America|United States||Wyoming|Converse County||||,North America|United States|US|Wyoming|Converse||||,1
North America|United States||Arizona|Coconino County||||,North America|United States|US|Arizona|Coconino||||,1
North America|Mexico||Tamaulipas|||||,North America|Mexico|MX|Tamaulipas|||||,1

Thus, for the combination 'Asia|Indonesia||West Java|||||', the geography lookup file recommends:

Asia|Indonesia|ID|Jawa Barat||||Greater Sunda Islands|Java

  • continent = Asia
  • country = Indonesia
  • countryCode = ID
  • stateProvince = Jawa Barat
  • islandGroup = Greater Sunda Islands
  • island = Java
