`mkblog` - generate jekyll blog hosted in github

This application will generate jekyll based blog, which is hosted in github

Install

Install:

gem install mkblog

Usage

Create new project using your github id, for example you are github.com/sample

mkblog --generate sample # generate jekyll powered blog sample.github.com

Now you can see the blog localhost:4000 by running jekyll server locally

cd sample
jekyll --server

You can update the information to your personal data, to make it your own blog. I will tune this step to be better

Create `sample.github.com` under github.com/sample, and follow instruction to push.

Follow the github:pages guideline to put your own blog

If there is problem on encoding, try

export LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8

Developing for `mkblog`

First, install bundler:

gem install bundler

Get the development dependencies

bundle install

Most of the code is in `mkblog.rb`.
