If you are not familiar with DashClock it is a lock screen widget to replace the standard clock. It is open source, extensible, and allows applications to display notifications on the lock screen in a very clean manner.

This app is developed by an Android engineer (Roman Nurik) and has gotten a lot of attention and praise recently (Reddit, Android Blogs, etc). Many apps are beginning to support DashClock (Press and Falcon Pro were early adopters - to name a few). This is the original announcement Roman posted on Google Plus

I think Reddit Sync would have a great distinction from other Reddit clients if a DashClock extension was created. The system is open source and very cool. This functionality would be great to have Reddit notifications on the lock screen!

I'm actually going to close this as I think it would be better as a stand alone app.
