A command line interface tool that enables helpers at http://stallman.org parse and convert Stallman's emails into html.
After I saw a post on Hacker News about Stallman needing volunteers, I contacted his organization to see if could help.
My application was accepted and I became a helper! My job was to read incoming emails from RMS and convert his plain text emails into html suitable for posting on various parts of his website. After hours of converting text to html by hand, I automated the task.
rmsgen is the result of my effort. You must be a Stallman helper to use
rmsgen. In order to become a helper, contact the stallman organization at email address:
Enables faster updates to the site with much less effort.
Allows new helpers to contribute quickly with less ramping up.
Uses BDD/TDD to test a command line interface.
Modular enough to allow extending.
Sources emails from an IMAP server and from a local file-system.
Built for a good cause.
