This Repository release now replaces the Spout website download.

Please note that with update to FreeFrameGL 2 by Resolume, the SpoutController plugin included with Version 1.010 is not compatible with Resolume 7. Earlier versions of Resolume 6.xx are still suitable as well as other FreeFrameGL hosts.

However, a suitable FreeframeGL 2.0 plugin compatible with Resolume 7 has been created and tested for use with Processing and can be downloaded below (SpoutControls_V2.021.zip and SpoutController_GL4.pdf).

Processing for Resolume

The SpoutControls FreeframeGL plugin has been updated to allow a Processing sketch to become a Freeframe source, complete with controls customized to the application. Any Processing sketch can be converted in a matter of minutes to allow variables within the sketch to be controlled by the Freeframe user interface.

Several different sketches can be set up in the same way and they all appear as FFGL sources with their individual names. Each can be used just as a typical Freeframe plugin would be.

A comprehensive tutorial has been created by Eric Medine (http://tentonraygun.com/) that steps though creation of a SpoutController Processing sketch and it's operation within Resolume from start to finish (http://ericmedine.com/spout-controller-for-resolume/).

The tutorial example “CirclesLinesDemo” sketch is included with this distribution, so you can try it straight away. Copy the entire “CirclesLinesDemo” sketch folder into the Resolume vfx folder, start up Resolume and you will see “CirclesLinesDemo” listed in the FFGL sources. Drag it to an empty cell, the sketch will start and you can use the plugin controls just as you normally would. The difference is that behind the scenes you will have the processing sketch running and sending it's texture to Resolume.
