Using Safari 5.1.2. on Windows.

Could you elaborate and/or post a screenshot/recording of the issue please? Is it the same issue you posted in the comments or a different one?

This is how it looks - there is no animation, it stays filled.

It's not the same issue, I believe the one I wrote about in the comment was because of one of my extensions - sorry about that.

Confirmed, happens under OSX too, thanks!
Now I'll have to check whether Safari supports SMIL. If not, we're out of luck, I'll just disable that previewer on Safari (by feature testing SMIL).
