In Interledger (ILP), what I call LedgerLoops challenges are basically called hashlock escrows.

ILP is very similar but less generic; loops are always triangles:

       ledger1       ledger2
merchant1 -> connector -> merchant2
       ^___________________v
          out of band
  • Merchant1 prepares money in escrow at ledger1, to be redeemed by the connector (conditional-promise)
  • He tells the connector explicitly that he wants to send money to merchant2 (no need for that in LedgerLoops!)
  • Merchant 2 claims money from the connector, and the escrow in ledger1 is executed.

Would it be possible to extend interledger such that anonymous triggers can be routed?
