We know it's not great but I thought some keystrokes worked in windows...

Do you mean by mouse nor keystroke? Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V work for me. Windows 10 Pro 20H2. Standard actions: Select text in terminal by mouse click and drag. Press Ctrl-C then Ctrl-V to paste the selected text at the prompt. Selecting text from another app then Ctrl-V in the terminal also works for me. I don't have anything special in my Windows setup that I'm aware of.

This video shows it working, though you have to trust I'm pressing Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V:

No mouse, no keystroke. Dunno what is wrong.

Does it perhaps work if it's the first thing you try after starting Lens? Maybe some other operations are tripping it up.

Same for me - No mouse, no keystroke. Doesn't work if it's the first thing I try after starting Lens.

Weird. Laptop with external keyboard? Remote desktop from another machine? (I'm testing with an old ThinkPad, using its keyboard directly. I'd be surprised if it matters, but...)

Laptop with external keyboard doesn't work. Also tried built-in keyboard and that doesn't work either. No remote desktop.

When I tried, Copy paste works on "Terminal Session", but not working on the "Pod Shell".

Environment:

  • Lensapp (v4.2.4) running on Windows desktop
  • Wired keyboard

Have the same issue. No copy/paste from pod terminal works
Version:

Same on Mac:

Lens: 5.3.1-latest.20211130.1
Electron: 13.6.1
Chrome: 91.0.4472.164
Node: 14.16.0

It seems that the first copy in a terminal generally works (not always), but after that I cannot copy anything else. The workaround I have found is to turn 'Copy on select and paste on right-click' on in the preferences. Then anything I select is correctly copied to the clipboard and I can paste it into other windows. I can paste into the Lens shell window using Control-Click on my Mac (equivalent of right click - I suspect with a two/three button mouse right click would work too but I don't have one handy to test with).

also logs jump around so much sometimes that even if copy works, its almost impossible to perform.

sometimes when new loglines appear, the scroll position resets down and then returns back up

copy paste to clipboard does not work via Strg-C neither Menu, neither if or not switched on copy via right in preferences.

Does turning on the "copy on select, paste on right click" option in user preferences help?

I had same problem.
So in my case,
I had off the preference and on again ( "copy on select, paste on right click").
Then it works.

Seems like duplicate of #1052

Same here. After setting coping on select, paste o right click, copy and paste works in Windows. However, I have the mentioned issue - the starting selected position scrolls along the terminal scrolling.
