Variables as constants, vs overwriting #30

@cloudhead - last year in a comment on the original twitter-bootstrap project you wrote
"If overwriting variables is useful I can promote it to "feature" status, that's not a problem."

Do you still feel the same way?

IMHO that would be awesome.
It's how LESS seems to behave today, but we can't rely on it (since e.g. the lesscss.org docs say they're supposed to be treated like constants).

I'm working on a branding approach to a bootstrap-based grails app that involves overriding parts of bootstrap (without touching the twitter-bootstrap project's .less files), and would love to be able to confidently rely on variable overwriting in LESS.

Thanks in advance for any reply, and please keep up the awesome work!

Cheers,
Chris
