The README mentions a method Rugged::Repository#exists?, however the method appears to be called Rugged::Repository#exists.
Also, the documentation for Rugged::Commit appears to be out of date.
There is several different examples (most of which conflict) here and on the libgit2 website, and none of them have worked for me so far.
Does anyone have a working example of how to commit with Rugged?

It's out-dated only for older version of Rugged. Latest HEAD, as well as the the 0.17 or better gems on rubygems, are up-to-date and support exists? For example: https://github.com/libgit2/rugged/blob/development/test/repo_test.rb#L23
