Connecting a gamepad

The links below provide instructions for connecting a variety of common gamepad controllers to the major operating systems. If you have trouble trying to connect on your own, these pages should be helpful.

OSX coming soon..

Supported controllers

Controller support varies from OS to OS, so be sure to check out the specific Wiki page for your operating system. Below is a list of supported controllers.

  • Dualshock 4
  • Dualshock 3
  • Sixaxis
  • Xbox 360
  • Gamecube
  • Nvidia Shield Controller

If after connecting the gamepad to your OS you're still having problems try these:

  • Check that the controller battery isn't too low.
  • Press some buttons. On some devices, only certain buttons will wake up the gamepad API (the face buttons on PS3 controllers, for instance)
  • Close other apps that may be using the gamepad
  • Restart your web browser

If the HTML5 Gamepad Tester site is seeing the controller, then DaisywheelJS should work. Make an issue if you run into any undocumented problems.
