- Output mode uses pins as <DAT, SHCP/CLK, STCP/LATCH>
- Input mode uses SH clock for both SHCP/CLK and STCP/LATCH
(should be tied together) and ST as input pin, with push-
buttons connected between outputs and ST input pin.
