I've seen your video "how to rename net object in hfss" and found it very helpful. I am having another issue of quite similar nature and am wondering if you could alter your script in a way so that it addresses that issue as well.
It is the following:
In 3D Layout in Stack up editor one has the choice to tick "etch" and "rough" and fine select their properties accordingly.
So far so good.
I do however have the need to export from 3D Layout to HFSS because I need to place an encrypted connector on a PCB. The PCB is what I had modeled in 3D Layout. I can't place the connector in 3D Layout, I need to do that in HFSS. My issue is that once I have exported from 3D Layout to HFSS the choice is fix from above (roughness and etch). It is much harder to change that in HFSS than it is in 3D Layout and I am wondering if there is a way to export the settings for etch and rough from 3D Layout and apply them in HFSS.
Thanks
Edgar
