[Dell XPS 15 9560] TLP is not in battery mode after boot with ac detached. #343

Hi,

can you please show the full tlp-stat output where the issue occurs – before manual intervention with tlp bat? And please provide a trace of system startup --> trace mode

Sorry for the delay, but it was not really an issue. Now the dedicated gpu is managed by tlp, so it is a ~10W difference.

Still the old problem, and here are the requested files:

EDIT: Duplicate of #223 . See the FAQ.

You can verify that with tlp-stat --psup when AC is attached.

Issue #343, #362, #375: circumvent broken AC/charger detection.
Rationale: some systems only recognize the ACPI mains device when
plugged in during boot or not at all. This is a firmware bug.

Solution: treat battery status "Discharging" as battery mode and
everything else except "Unknown" as AC, but don't stop looking
for AC.
