Bug forwarded from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=885801

I just installed a cinnamon theme, but I can't select it.

Cinnamon Version: 1.6.7
Theme: http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/themes/view/104

Dirs where I unzipped it:
~/.themes/
/usr/share/themes/

You will see the themes under your ~/themes/ directory at the end of the list. If you don't see them, check the permissions (your user needs to have at least access right to them). If you installed them using root, you won't have permission to see them, and they won't show up.

I have installed a few of them, including the Light and Dark Void themes (under my user directory) and it all works ok, even if there are duplicates of the pre-installed ones in /usr/share/themes

I have no problem using the linked theme(s). In the archive there is a folder called "Open_me", and it's its contents which must be placed directly in "./themes", so that it's "./themes/Dark_Void" instead of "./themes/Open_me/Dark_Void".
The general structure has to be "
/.themes/Foo/cinnamon" with "cinnamon" containing a file called "cinnamon.css". Same applies to "usr/share/themes".

@leigh123linux : works fine here too. Do you still have that issue, even considering the previous comments ?
