Cinnamon 2.0 Virtualbox 4.2.20 Switching desktops impossible

I don't know if this is a Cinnamon issue or an issue of Virtualbox.
But running my virtual machine in fullscreen mode makes it impossible to switch Screens.
Any help is appreciated.

I opened a ticket on https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/12407 as well.
After downgrading to 4.2.18 the misbehaviour does not appear any more.
It seems to be VirtualBox related.

Yeah, I'm getting this too. I've found you can force a desktop switch by holding CTRL-ALT+left/right down until it does switch - but it's pretty ugly (it jumps back and forth a bit). I've noticed an even worse side-effect though - if you try and full-screen a YouTube video in the non-virtualbox desktop, the focus automatically switches to the virtualbox desktop!!

So today I tried v4.3.4 of VirtualBox to run Win7 Prof in my virtual machine. Same issue appears again.
Switching desktops is only possible by leaving fullscreen mode or by applying above described way.
@skinnypete: Your method only works if you have opened windows on another desktop.

I'm also experiencing this issue. I was suspecting it might be an issue with muffin, because I seem to be having a problem with iBus and muffin too.

This behaviour also appears with VBox 4.3.4.
So I'm sticking with 4.2.18 untill this issue gets fixed.
BTW I'm running 64Bit Linux Mint 13 with tp-kernel 3.2.0-57 (http://thinkwiki.de/Ubuntu_tp-Kernel) on a T61 with Intel integrated grafics (Intel 965GM Chipset) and latest stable Cinnamon.

Note: When I try to record this behaviour with Desktop Capture 0.95 (http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/96) using recordMyDesktop the panel disappears! It slips down out of my desktop sight.
But: Without the panel I can switch between workspaces again!!!
To get the panel back I have to kill recordMyDesktop as it seems to be in an endless loop.
