black window borders on ubuntu 12.04 #637

On Ubuntu 12.04 the muffin window borders are completely black and with
some glitches on the buttons.

this seems related to this mutter bug (already fixed)..
is it possible to fix it in muffin?

I didn't see any of these issues in a fresh 12.04 final beta install using the Cinnamon nightly PPA.


I have this problem too with Ubuntu 12.04. There is a workaround, but you have to do it every time this happens, which is almost every boot. Go to "Cinnamon settings -> Themes -> Other settings" and change the "GTK+ theme" setting to something else then back.
I didn't know that there were a Cinnamon nightly PPA. Thanks for the tip, bimsebasse, I will try it out.

It's an issue in muffin. Please file it at and close this one.

The fix is included in pull request linuxmint/muffin#13. It is commit rat4/muffin@74cf2ca.
