MintUpdate 184.108.40.206 not showing correct kernel info #356
I just came across the recently closed thread regarding incorrect Kernel info being displayed in MintUpdate. I'm having similar issues since upgrading to MintUpdate 220.127.116.11.
However, NOT just low-latency Kernels...
I run Linux Mint 18.3 xfce 64-bit and use Ukuu to installl the latest Linux Kernels on my system.
Currently running 4.16.8 generic
"uname -r" shows: 4.16.8-041608-generic.
Ukuu also shows that 4.16.8 is currently running, however the View>Linux kernels menu in MintUpdate shows that no kernels are currently installed (under the various 4.x sub-headings). Underneath the "Kernels" window-title, its displays the text: "Kernel 3.13.0-37-generic currently loaded"
Clearly something's not right. Any additional information required (I'm somewhat of a newbie, so forgive me)?
Issue is also present in mintupdate 5.4.0. I think it's because the linux-image package for mainline kernels is named
Does need fixing to enable users who do decide to experiment with mainline to easily uninstall.
From a quick test, 4.17.5 is not displayed in mintupdate 5.4.0
