Bug description

When I hover over currently running tasks in the taskbar/panel, it often shows the wrong preview. I have noticed this so far specifically with hexchat (flatpack) discord, gimp, but not other apps like chrome browser, gnome-terminal, or gnome text editor.

Attached is a preview of discord showing the hexchat window.

Sometimes the preview just shows my desktop (with all the icons), sometimes it switches during previewing (from another window's view) to the desktop view.
If I move the mouse up from the icon to the preview pane, it then updates correctly (as it also brings the window to the foreground)

Steps to reproduce

Mouse over icons of running apps and observe the preview.

Expected behavior

Preview corresponds to window of running application
