  1. Turning on cursorline which highlights the background colour of the

    current line which is useful for finding where your cursor is quickly. I
    also changed the colour of the cursorline in the railscasts colour
    scheme so that I could actually see it.
    Cursorline also works in console vim, by underlining the entire line
    where the cursor is.
