Hi, how do i use Berkeley if i have it already setup using mostly the default settings and it's in prod?

Does it require any extra packages? Does just making USE_BDB_FOR_NAME_STORAGE=1 switch it on and works without doing anything extra?

Does this work in 3.11?

USE_BDB_FOR_NAME_STORAGE=1 should be enough but as far as I'm aware BerkeleyDB is broken on all versions of LizardFS. Enabling this feature cause master to crash on my system...

@onlyjob How does that crash look like? I am using BDB and didn't think this could be an issue. I did have a core-dump last week but I haven't figured out why it happened yet.

Also for @paladox , you will need to restart lizardfs, reload is not enough for this setting.

From my memory, with USE_BDB_FOR_NAME_STORAGE=1 master just terminates shortly after start, some time during loading/processing metadata.
I don't recall a particular error message, if there were any...
