Ruby 1.9 compatibility?

I'm having a problem running this with Ruby 1.9.3, due to a multibyte syntax error in libwebsocket.

I opened an issue for this on the libwebsocket project but it appears to have been fixed in more recent versions of libwebsocket.

Unfortunately, the latest version of libwebsocket is not compatible with the previous version so some work would be needed to get pusher-client working with Ruby 1.9.
