We are excited to announce that Logto, our open-source project, is participating in the Hacktoberfest 10th Anniversary this year! Hacktoberfest is a perfect opportunity for everyone to support open source projects they use and love, learn and practice skills that will enhance their careers, and meet new people who love open source as much as they do.

Event duration: Sep 26 - Oct 31

πŸ“Œ Some tips to help you get-started:

  • First and foremost, learn how to register and participate in Hacktoberfest event.
  • Check out our Contributing Guidelines and Code of Conduct.
  • Setup your local dev environment and prepare your GitHub commit signature, as we require all commits must be signed in our pull requests.
  • We have prepared a set of selected tasks for you, where detailed issue descriptions and goals are provided by Logto team.
  • You can also explore our existing issues (feature requests or bugs) and find the one suitable for you. Contact the issue OP or Logto devs for more context before you start working on it.
  • Contributions in any other forms are also appreciated, including improving i18n translations and updating documentation.
  • When you are ready, submit a pull request with a clear description of your changes, and add the hacktoberfest tag. We will help review your code and tag it with hacktoberfest-accepted once the PR is approved. You will receive Hacktoberfest credits when your PR is merged. Check official FAQs for more details.
  • If you have any questions about any issue, feel free to leave a message directly in the issue ticket, as this helps provide the context for anyone else who might also want to opt-in. You are also welcome to join our Discord channel for more discussions.

🌟 What's in it for You?

In addition to the rewards from the Hacktoberfest organizer, we would also like to express our appreciation to contributors whom we deem exceptionally valuable. This means you may have the opportunity to receive our signature sweater or be honored in our documentation and on the contributors' list1.

Let's make this October memorable by improving Logto together! Join us, and let's create something awesome this Hacktoberfest! πŸš€
