Wouldn't it be better to remove a given item once it has been selected (added to the selection) by a user? In the case of no duplicates of course.
+1 I have a definite need for a feature like this. If anyone has any thoughts, please share.
There is a fork that handles this courtesy of Jonmbake. He added some other features that broke my app, so I pulled his dropdown formatting into another fork. Try it out here. Thanks to Jon!
You probably want to fork or download from this commit:
As precisio mentioned, some of my later commits are specific to my use, so they will probably break in your particular use.
Thanks for your reply. Sorry for not replying earlier on. I tried your fork/commit as suggested but it does not work. What I am trying to achieve is as follows: make sure that an element is no longer present in the dropdown list once it has been selected by the user.
Is this what the suggested fork/commit really achieves?
Hi Julien. Nkburdick forked off of the correct commit. If you follow his link (https://github.com/Nkburdick/jquery-tokeninput), that should work for you.
