changeName(SomeClass a) {
    INPUT n = name(a) DO {
        name(a) <- n;
        name2(a) <- foo(n);
    }
}

FORM form
    OBJECTS a = SomeClass
    PROPERTIES(a) name2 ON CHANGE changeName(a)
;

INPUT operator is written with indication of expression (name(a)), which value is expected to be initial value in editor. Editing will work asynchronously all the same - editor won't try to read the value of this expression, it will get current value of table cell instead - value of name2(a).
