I get two errors when opening a blank rails view with angular-rails gem included:

Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'service' angle-up.js:123
Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'compile' angle-up.js:89

I had exactly the same issue, didn't find a fix for it yet.

Same problem here!

For a quick fix just remove the line
//= require angle-up
from your application.js file.
angle-up isn't part of AngularJS, removing it from your project won't affect AngularJS.

This error only happens when you have an empty project. Once you create a controller, it goes away.

@snooc That was not my experience I had 1 model and two controllers and the problem persisted. @fleck fix worked.

@snooc where you talking about rails controllers or angular controllers?

I am also facing same problem. When I added gem to my app it gives following error.

Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'service'
Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'compile'
Port error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

Any help?
