I attempted to post on askUbuntu to no avail, but followed with what was suggested by the discussion board's first suggestion post by entering into command: sudo -i It required a reboot shortly after, but I do see some significant improvement in my wifi signals with little to no interruptions so far. What did this parameter do? And if I wanted to re-install the Bluetooth headphones, what should I do? |

Are you in the habit of applying arbitrary parameters that you do not understand? You run the risk of causing real problems if you persist! You have turned off firmware power-save control. That applies to wireless interfaces, not the host computer. There was a power-save problem at one time, but that was fixed many months ago. I do not work on any BT drivers. I have made them available, but you are on your own. The latest set of BT coexistence routines are in the recent kernels, and in the kernel branch of this repo. The master brance is quite out of date, but is being preserved for a few rtl8723be users with ant_sel problems. No one else should be here. |

As much as I don't like to do things blind, I have no resources to help me with this matter. Ubuntu 17.10 has no system restore, and the boards were no help. I already uninstalled the hardware and have had Bluetooth turned off since. |

Hello,
I had previously installed and followed the steps in
https://askubuntu.com/questions/797213/wireless-disconnect-issues-ubuntu-16-04-with-rtl8821ae
It finally solved all of the issues I had, except until after I installed a pair of Bluedio Bluetooth headphones.
I have my rtlwifi_new directory under my default username's ~/Documents and the modprobe.d directory under /etc/modprobe.d.
Ever since I installed the Bluetooth headphones, my wifi has since been dropping signals constantly.
I tried following some suggestions by changing ant_sel=2 to ant_sel=1, and I also tried creating and saving a new file iwlwifi.conf with options iwlwifi bt_coex_active=N, to no success. I also uninstalled the headphones and turned off Bluetooth functionality.
I was so happy I finally solved the first issue but now my wifi doesn't work as well, and I'm very cautious to re-install the Bluetooth headphones.
